EVENT TRENDS FOR 2010 from Arista Winery
(http://www.aristawinery.com)

In 2010, our clients are looking for flexibility in terms of set up. They are looking for ways to be different by emphasizing a more casual look without losing the "wow factor". Simplicity and intimacy are at the core of trends observed and "Less is more" would be the motto for most 2010 weddings at Arista. The economy probably plays a big role in all this, but maybe not. Couples seem to be moving away from searching for what is "in style" and instead are searching for ways to show their unique personality not only through unique decor but also in the way they set up their event schedule, take their pictures, choose their event rentals and choose their menus. Sometimes, all it takes to be unique is shifting the first dance to cocktail hour instead of doing it after dinner or setting up a family style dinner on along banquet table for a large group.

Innovative set ups focusing on comfort and good flow from space to space is a resonating request in 2010. Our clients enjoy the flexibility of being able to choose their own unique set ups to avoid a cookie cutter wedding. Those don't exist at Arista Winery. The different event spaces and background views at Arista Winery make it possible for a client to custom design their private event.

Intimate events are very common this year. This can be achieved by having a small guest count or by having the aforementioned family style dinner. Having o pass around food platters and wine bottles encourage conversation just as there would be in the intimacy of your own home. Adding elements such as lounges and framed pictures of the hosts make guests feel like they are in a home rather than a large event hall.

Finally, giving guests freedom to wander around the venue and not expecting them to stick to a schedule or flow of an event is a constant desire this year. Staging food and wine stations or setting up lounges or cocktail tables around the dance floor during a reception gives guests the option of choosing to stay on their dining tables after dinner, mingle at the bar or relax on lounge sofas.
